如何申请bankruptcy，费用和周期是多久？
兄弟姐妹们：我老公四年前去了中国，去年我俩一起回到美国，搬到拉斯维加斯，本打算从头开始稳定的生活，刚到的几个月相安无事，结果四个月后，老公以前的债务都找上门了，有一个欠了3400美金，老公和他们协商后还了1700美金了事了，本以为没事了，结果没多久IDAHO 州的tax people又找到了我老公的账户，说是我老公10年前卖的房子有收益，但是没有报税等等，他们不但封了我老公的银行卡，提走了他仅有的2500美金，后来还说不够，一共是11000美金，他告诉我老公如何操作，可能会好些，不用补交那么多，，结果昨天打来电话说还要交4000美金的税务，。。。。。我老公的债务还有大概8250美金的信用开债务，这是大概几年前的事情了，都是和我结婚前的债务，，，，现在我过得日子很怕，怕突然有一天哪个讨债的又找上门来，，，，就这样，我怕我的日子越过越穷，没有起色，。。有人知道想这种情况该怎么办吗？我肯定不行老公一笔一笔的付这些帐，。。我听说过有bankruptcy这回事， 我只想让老公清理掉他的过去，哪怕没有credit 都无所谓，。。。
有哪位兄弟姐妹知道bankruptcy的， 能告诉我是怎么回事，如何操作，大概多久能完事，而且费用是多少？我们请不起高昂的律师费。。。。。
